Tour the Boston Opera House

See the recent restoration that brought beauty and elegance back to this century-old theatre. The Boston Opera House is among nation's finest in opulence and quality of detailing. It is the only surviving work in Boston by distinguished American theater architect, Thomas Lamb.

The guided tour at the Boston Opera House is a wonderful educational opportunity for older children and young adults. The tour encompasses historical and architectural highlights of the building, including the grand lobby areas, majestic auditorium and backstage space (when possible).

Please note, when an event is in progress there may be limited access to certain areas of the theatre. We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes for walking. For more information contact Maggie Doyle at MDoyle@bostonoperahouse.com. Special arrangements can be made for Groups of 10 or more. Tour groups are charged $15 per person.
